Not all men are equal-

“Not all men are equal” By Me, lol.

Along the last 23 years of my life, I’ve had a chance to experience every single kind of person there is, right from the sweetest, naïve faeries there are, to the worst kind of deplorable human beings with the worst kind of personality traits one can find in a single being, I have been lucky to know them all. ( By men; I mean Men, women, and they/them)

Looking back from my experiences, I think that although all men are born equal, I can safely say that not all men are equal; along with their life experiences, and their decisions that they make regarding their own lives, their relationships, their habits, and their financial decisions, (not to forget the hand of chance too) that makes a few polished gems, from the vast sea of crude stones. Allow me to explain; through the 60 odd years of ones life one makes many crucial decisions, what college to go to, what stream to take, what to eat, whom to date, whether you should get that J on the regular or just occasionally, whether you should get to gym after knowing you’re a type 2 diabetic with a raging cholesterol, whether you should join that AAA meeting for a chance to redeem your failing liver, or just give it all up for a few more months of bliss. And its through these things that determines the future of ones life, and only they alone are responsible for their plights.

Lately even, many of my friends have been influenced by the communism movement, and their ideologies, initially that began as simple, “open to multiple perspectives” have furthered into rabid speech, with hardened conviction that “communism is the only way forward”, and whoever opposes it is either a capitalist pig, or a naïve idiot who is being happily ignorant, and blind to the fact that they are controlled by the hands of the billionaire puppeteer overlords, and the “new world order” of some sort.

These friends of mine, are of the belief that equality pervades all, and free markets should not be controlled by skill, efficiency and industriousness, but of equal responsibilities, pay and posts, ignoring the fact of ones skills, merits, and what one brings to the table. They like complaining about how no one should be allowed to have a billion dollars worth of wealth, and how its inhuman to hoard so much of wealth, and how the governments should tax 90% of their wealth because “they can never spend it all realistically.”

These same people lack the drive and the risk taking ability to ever go past their expected targets, living a “work monday to friday, party on saturday and sunday, and repeat all over again.”. Dont get me wrong, this is not wrong or bad to live like this at all, by all means its your life, do as you will. Work hard for days only to spend it all off in a single weekend, smoke J’s all day while taking offs from your work, ignoring your commitments and life goals cause YOLO man, knock yourself off, its your life. Just don’t expect to be handed out freebies when you fall short of money to pay your medical bills cause you spent it all YOLOing , then comparing yourself to the Millionaires/ Billionaires, the people who are willing to forfeit their short term pleasures for the long term ones, putting in 15+ hours of work 7 days a week to prove themselves, just because it hits your self esteem when you choose to cover up the fact that since Reaching to the position they are in was never in your priority, hence you never took actions for the same, and then realise 30 years down the line, that your degree in Philosophy and gender equality that you spent 5 lakhs on, is of no use and not only did you waste the years of the time studying a subject that the society has no value for, but you are quite really not being a very useful member to the society and the economy as a whole. (look at me get cancelled for this)

  1. writing about this, I by no means am trying to defend the ones who are HNIS, because it is clear how they use money and influence-

  2. to shape the litigations in their favor’s, buying up political parties by anonymous donations.

  3. setting up escrows and shelf companys in countries with no income tax rates. (See: Panama Leaks Scandal, 2016)

  4. Artificially inflating the prices of mediocre art for the only reason of donating it and further reducing your tax burdens.

  5. creating family trusts to buy personal items citing it as business expenses, prevent taxes on the net capital gains, and leveraging your stocks in exchange for free money from banks at nominal interest rates in order to protect yourself from the capital gains on your growth of equity, and when you finish it all, short yourself and declare bankruptcy and clear your debts on dirt cheap rates, and repeat this cycle all over again.

  6. Buying and selling real estate in cash to avoid Taxes on Taxes, so that they owe the public the least amount of money possible.

  7. Its very easy for a majority to forget the lines of morality and right and wrong when you have power and the means to ascertain your needs. (heck, if I was in their place, and wasn’t bound to the people and religions who’ve taught me otherwise, id do the same.)

So sure, maybe that Rich bastard is buying a new rolls every year, and you get jealous of their success, it did require planning and brains behind his success, and believe it or not a lot of hard work and delayed gratification was also involved in the same. So If it really affects you that much, maybe just ask them how they did it, they’d be more than happy to share their story with you, and then get inspired and do the same. or alternatively, join the narrative that wealth is evil, and the people who own wealth are evil, and they should be punished for the same, while lazing around the couch all day long in your basement wondering where have all the jobs gone and why companies aren’t coming knocking on your door to ask you to work for them , and why the stimulus cheques/ government aids have stopped. so maybe this is the sign you were waiting for. Delete Tinder/ Bumble/ Hinge/ OF’s and go out, make friends, maybe more, build connections, ask how you can help your friends with your skills, and don’t be afraid to ask them for help when you need it. Talk more, See more, learn more, feel more, Experience more, and when time comes, rest more. Because there is no one BIG decision that will change your life, just small repeated actions every single day that get you closer to a better you.

in conclusion, manners maketh man, and although everyone IS born equal, no one in a sense remains to be so in time.
