A letter to God.

I wish there was a way that we could convert the love we have for one person to love for another without going through the pangs of missing them, the endless thinking about them, and the never ending thought of if they miss us too. Abstract concept, but hear me out.

We’ve all been through this at one point or another. The losing of someone really close to us either by death, or a breakup, or a fight, it might have been a family, a friend, and relationship, or heck even a pet of yours. You’ve felt the intense energy of being pulled to them, the inability to stay away. The pangs felt tugging at your heart strings, the inability to think about anything else.

The human mind is a fragile thing. It’s likings change with time, heart on its sleeve, attractions change faster than lightning. Oh Beauty, you seductive murderer.

Dear God, all i wish is to hand over these emotions for a person, to you. So many countless times you’ve saved me from close calls with death, and every time I taste food, or drink cold water, I am filled with awe and love, thanking you for the bounties you offered upon us. This beautiful Earth, the beauty we see among each other, the gluttonous tempting foods and fruits, and cold water, oh to taste a sip of cold water is to taste drops of honey upon the tongue. You’ve made all of this , without asking or expecting anything in return but love for you. Such unfathomable love you have for us. So unfathomable, that most of the time we fail to comprehend the unlimited bounties we’re offered to.

Dear God , If a love like this exists, the one you have for me, the type to never end, the type that’s always your supporter, the type that expects nothing in return, then I want nothing else in life. You are the life giver, and you will provide it sustenance. save me from this love for a human being ; this attraction towards beauty is like a moth attracted to fire, towards its doom.

So, if there is a way I can convert the love I have for a human, the true image muddled with the pink spectacles called beauty and lust; I’d convert it all without a second thought to you.

Yours truly
